There are lots of uses for lavender outside of essential oils and tea. One of my favorites is to make lavender sugar. Use it to infuse a subtle, but noticeable lavender touch to shortbread cookies, meringue, steamed milk, and much more.
Storage
Store it in an airtight container in your pantry or cabinets.

Stop pulsing or blending frequently to check on your sugar. Overworking it will can make the sugar too fine, which may affect your cooking or baking in different ways.

Lavender Sugar
Sugar infused with lavender to boost your baking creativity.
Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 t lavender, dried or fresh
Instructions
- Add the sugar and lavender to a blender or food processor and pulse for 10-15 seconds. The lavender should be broken up into small pieces. The sugar might be slightly powdered, and that's ok.Store in an airtight container.
